The former M People diva is celebrating 25 years of musical success, marking the occasion with an extensive tour of the UK and the release of a new album, ‘Orchestral Greatest Hits’, due out this coming May.

Small’s time with dance icons M People saw her catapult into the mainstream radar. With a string of hits including Moving on Up, One Night in Heaven and Search for the Hero leading the artist to achieve worldwide success; it’s no surprise that she made a name for herself as one of the most recognisable, iconic British voices of the 1990’s – sound tracking a whole generation.

The soulful star has since enjoyed a highly successful solo career, with her two albums continuing to break records and make musical history. The year 2000 marked the release of her debut album, ‘Proud’, alongside a single of the same name.

The latter has since become one of the most internationally renowned tracks, sound tracking a host of major events including London’s 2012 Olympic bid, the 60th anniversary of VE Day in Trafalgar Square and the handover of the Olympic Games from Beijing to London, to name a few.

Heather’s rich and distinctive voice has earnt her a reputation as one of Britain’s most accomplished, admirable soul divas. Luckily, Stockton’s stunning Princess Alexandra Auditorium is worthy of playing host to such musical royalty. The prestigious concert hall lies on the banks of the River Tees, and promises to harbour the perfect ambience on such an atmospheric evening of live music.

Heather Small will play Yarm’s Princess Alexandra Auditorium on Wednesday 11th April. Tickets, priced at £28.50 +£2 booking fee, are available from arconline.co.uk.
