The Westgarth Social Club will play host to Pale Waves

Indie pop four-piece, Pale Waves are heading to Middlesbrough as part of their UK and European tour. The band will play The Westgarth Social Club on Friday 23rd February for what’s set to be a night to remember.

The band began to conjure up their mystical sound back in 2014, when lead singer Heather Baron-Gracie met drummer Ciara Doran whilst studying at Manchester University, striking up an instant creative bond.

A year down the line, after enlisting bassist Charlie Wood and guitarist Hugo Silvani, the band began to record early demos which would soon catch the attention of Dirty Hit Records.

Pale Waves released their first single under Dirty Hits Records on April 21st2017. ‘There’s A Honey’ was met with widespread acclaim, also catching the attention of 1975 frontman, Matt Healy. The pop-hero developed an admiration for the four-piece, and instantly wanted to work with them. The band have since toured with The 1975 throughout North America and Europe.

Their second single ‘Television Romance’ was directed by Healy himself, landing lead singer Heather Baron-Gracie on the front page of NME Magazine. Their army of followers continues to steadily grow, as does their body of work.

They’ve recently shared the video for their new track, ‘My Obsession’, featured on their forthcoming debut EP for Dirty Hit Records. In what’s to be whirlwind of a year, the group have also been nominated for the prestigious BBC Sound of 2018 longlist and tease at the prospect of a debut album at some point in the future. Our advice is to catch them whilst you can!

Pale Waves will play Middlesbrough’s Westgarth Social Club on Friday 23rdFebruary. Tickets, priced at £8.80, are available from www.seetickets.com.
