Manchester rockers Twisted Wheel bought blissful bedlam to Stockton’s Ku Bar with their late November gig. Supported by two of the North East’s most admirable talents, 14-year old Tom Mouse Smith and Newcastle’s Detroit Social Club, the crowd were suitably hyped for the arrival of the Oldham four-piece.
It’s clear to see why the lads have such a reputation on the punk-rock music scene, with their gritty lyricism and catchy choruses leaving gig-goers arm in arm, baring their souls to the musical Gods.
Although littered with a few songs from the band’s latest musical venture, ‘Jonny guitar’, their packed set mainly consisted of tracks from their 2009 debut album, Twisted Wheel; much to the crowd’s delight. Fan favourites such as We Are Us, Lucy The Castle and Strife caused the room to erupt into brilliant chaos.
Yet another great gig at one of the North East’s most loved venues.
